The Honda HR-V is a global version of the Japanese Honda Vezel, a small crossover vehicle without hybrid propulsion. A few years ago, The second-generation Honda HRV was introduced in Pakistan by Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited as the first-generation model. With the exception of a few minor visual modifications, notably a modified front grille and hybrid technology, Pakistan’s first-generation Honda HR-V as Honda Vezel Hybrid identical to the Hi-rider Revolutionary Vehicle is referred to as HR-V in Pakistan

Honda HR-V First Generation

Six Years ago, In January 2016, Honda Atlas debuted the HR-V in the Pakistani vehicle market. The cost of the car’s CBU unit at the time was Rs. 3.6 million. Due to fierce competition, the Honda Hr-v failed to last and sustain itself against its rising competition since it was unable to successfully capture the sales of the market.

Some sources state that Honda Atlas is now attempting to revive the Honda HR-V. Let’s examine the factors that led the automakers to make this choice.

Last month, HACL started testing the HR-V in Pakistan, which excited auto fans. The 11th generation Honda Civic test vehicle was seen to be wrapped in the same camouflage as the SUV in the Pictures. Later updates made it clear that HACL had indeed imported the SUV for testing.

Early in 2021, Honda introduced the HR-V, also known as the Honda Vezel in Japan, to compete with crossovers like the Toyota C-HR, Corolla Cross, Mazda CX-5, Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan juke and others.

The most recent Honda HR-V generation made its debut in February 2021 and has since been sold in a large number of nations, including the majority of Asian markets. Remember that the test version seems to be the one that has already been released in Japan, Indonesia and Thailand and is about to be released in Malaysia. The model that was introduced in the US has a different fascia that looks similar to the Honda ZR-V offered in the Chinese market.

It offers a variety of powertrains for different markets, including an electric hybrid option. A 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automated braking, traffic sign reading, lane departure warning, and other contemporary Honda Sensing technology are all included in the HR-V.

This all-new Honda HR-V, also known as Honda Vezel in the Japanese domestic market, is very different from the model it replaces. With a slanted rear hatch, the style is heavily inspired by coupes. It’s odd that the front lacks the traditional solid wing face. The automobile seems bigger and more intimidating due to the tall, broad headlamps and more vertical snout.

Most of Vezel/HR-V are having Six airbags, parking sensors, smart infotainment, climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automated headlights, hill-start assist, hill descent control, electronic parking brake, and other features among additional features.

The HR-V has a 1.5L i-VTEC gasoline engine mated to a CVT, a 1.5L i-VTEC turbo engine, and an e: HEV hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT and two electric motors. Despite the fact that the range-topping RS version also comes in hybrid e: CVT form, based on the test mule’s wheels, we may infer that Honda Atlas imported a hybrid HR-V model.

The SUV was listed as costing Rs. 6.05 million on the import invoice, which seems like a reasonable price. However, considering the continued local currency devaluation and increasing operating costs, the automaker is probably going to launch at a significantly higher price cause recently atlas honda increased the Price of all the vehicles of their listing So the HR-V in Pakistan can cost near to Rs. 10 million (Rs. 1 crore) or maybe up to the 10 million Pakistani Rupees

For fans of the Honda HR-V, this may be exciting news, but we are not quite convinced. In any case, an automobile in testing has been seen on neighbourhood roadways. Pictures of a completely covered crossover SUV Were shown in the Past, although it is unclear what kind of vehicle it was, and whether the company will launch this car as a vezel or as HR-V.

One thing to keep in mind is that the most recent Honda HR-V generation was unveiled in the US and will go on sale by the year’s end. So, if it is an HR-V, the unit that was detected is not that one; rather, it is a separate car.

Some Sources state, that Honda is preparing to launch two new models in Pakistan, including the all-new BR-V, which will replace the current model that has been on the market since 2016, and the new HR-V. The availability of these cars is anticipated to begin before the end of this year, however, no specific release date has been given as of yet.
Regardless, it would be quite exciting if Honda introduced this vehicle in Pakistan since it would mark the brand’s debut in the crossover SUV market. Honda calls the BR-V a crossover SUV, while many automotive experts refer to it as an MPV. Tell us what you think of this spotted unit, but that is a different discussion.
