Suzuki to discontinue Cultus In Pakistan

Suzuki Cultus/Celerio

One of the most popular cars in Pakistan, the cultus model, appears to have been discontinued by pak suzuki (psmc). Sources claim that the business aims to highlight the freshly presented suzuki swift at the same time as their best deal. According to them, “Cultus happened to be moving between quick sales as well as alternative sales, and so the company wanted customers to switch to the new Swift system.” According to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), PSMC sold over 9,800 Alto units during March this year. In April, it fell to 5,000. Sales rose marginally in May to around 5,400.

Pak Suzuki introduced the Suzuki Cultus in Pakistan in 2000. It has a 3-cylinder 1000cc carburetor engine and a five-speed manual transmission. The car had a fairly plain exterior and was available in three variants: VX, VXR and VXL. It became the “Shining and raising star” due to its attractive hatchback shape and affordable price, or you could say it was the only hatchback at the time with adequate interior space and an attractive exterior. Judging by the price tag, the interior was luxurious. The journey was so relaxing. Even on rough roads, the independent rear suspension ensures a smooth ride.

Factory-assembled CNG production began in 2001, For the convenience of customers, the production of factory-assembled CNG begins. The VX variant of the Cultus had black bumpers and no air conditioning, while the VXR had bumpers that matched the body color of the car and had air conditioning. In addition to the VXR, Cultus’ VXL variant was fully loaded. Power steering, power windows and body-matched mirrors are included with the VXL. Pak Suzuki ceased production of the VX version in 2005 but continued to make the VXR and VXL.

Although the car lacked safety features such as SRS or ABS airbags, it nonetheless dominated the market. During this time, the Cultus received some modest cosmetic changes, including alloy wheels, door moldings, front and rear bumpers, and front and rear lights. The interiors get a speedometer, dashboard front panel cover and a color-changing AC grille.

The launch of EFI ENGINE by Pak Suzuki in 2007 marked a major development for the Cultus Centre. A new 4-cylinder EFI (electronic fuel injection) engine was installed in place of the old 3-cylinder carburetor engine, but the transmission remained the same. Since all components in an EFI engine operate based on sensors and actuators supervised by an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), which also improves power and torque transfer, EFI engines offer higher fuel economy than carbureted engines. The options now available are called As VXli and VXRi Alloy wheels, door moldings, front and rear bumpers, and front and rear lights were among the minor exterior changes made to the Cultus at this time. The interior includes a speedometer, a dashboard front panel cover and a color-changing AC grille. The 2007 introduction of EFI ENGINE by Pak Suzuki marked a major turning point in the Cultus facility.

The old carbureted 3-cylinder engine was replaced with a new EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) 4-cylinder engine, but the transmission was left alone. An EFI engine consumes less fuel than a carbureted engine, since everything in an EFI engine is controlled by sensors, actuators, and an ECU (Electronic Control Unit), which also improves power and torque delivery. The choice at this point fell on Pak Suzuki, which introduced Euro II technology in 2012. It is used to reduce harmful emissions from vehicles and protect the environment. Green vehicles are those equipped with EURO Technology.

Pak Suzuki released Cultus Limited Edition in 2016. Although the shape remained the same, various exterior changes were made, such as new door trim and fabric, 2-DIN sound system, door mirrors, and alloy rims. Price increases for the latest version of Cultus brought versions of Euro-II and Euro-II CNG for PKR 11.24 lac and PKR lacs 11.99, respectively. With its powerful new and stylish hatchback and spacious, local, Pak Suzuki officially launched the NEW CULTUS. in April 2017. In other countries, this vehicle is known as Suzuki Celerio and Pakistanis also expected this name when it was first introduced, but CULTUS was used instead. The vehicle is front-wheel driven and equipped with a new 1000cc, 3-cylinder K-series EFI engine, Same engine as a in WagonR . From its previous model, the shape was completely changed. The vehicle also has a keyless entry system and an immobilizer (Anti-Theft Security System). It is difficult to start the engine without the original coded ignition key as this key is only intended for use with the immobilizer. In addition, the new Cultus has an electronic power steering system, power windows, power mirrors, the best safety feature is dual SRS airbags, one for the driver and one for the front passenger. This was the only locally produced Pak Suzuki car that has airbags at that time but Airbags were added in other Suzuki vehicles too, “like single Airbag in WagonR Vxl ,dual Air bag in Alto Vxr and Vxl” . In Cultus Other features include Driver-adjustable Power Mirrors, Fog Lights, Front Chrome Grilles, Alloy Rims, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and more. However, this vehicle did not come with CNG already installed. Current color options for the new Cultus are Pearl Red, Graphite Grey, White, Super Pearl Black, Cerulean Blue, Silky Silver and Sand Beige. VXR and VXL are the two variations that this new cult has developed.
