If you recall, this is Javed Afridi’s fourth discussion regarding the cost of this hatchback. He first teased the release of this car for less Rs. 2 million in February 2021, which generated a lot of buzz. Even though the MG HS and MG ZS are locally built, MG Pakistan has yet to sell a single one. Despite the fact that Afridi has posted videos showing MG vehicles being assembled, none of them have been distributed to dealers. Therefore, the company’s history is not in its favour. Additionally, according to industry experts, MG still lacks a licence to sell CKD automobiles since it has not met the government’s criteria for Greenfield status.

As Afridi stated, we do expect that the MG 3 will be introduced in Pakistan soon, but this still seems like a pipe dream. In order to foster trust with customers, the business should communicate clearly with them about assembly, manufacturing, and deliveries. It would benefit MG Pakistan and the customers alike.
